Hey folks!  Did you catch the Scripps National Spelling Bee 2015?  If you did, you may have noticed that, "Scherenschnitte", was one of the final words spelled that led to a tie between two amazing contestants.  "Scherenschnitte", is a German word meaning, "scissor cuts", and is a delicate and beautiful art form.  It is not, however, a delicate word to spell...its a tough one...but she did it!  Check out the video.

Speaking of, "Scherenschnitte", which I am sure you all were, did you know that we have a renown Scherenschnitte artist in our midst here in downtown Kennebunk Maine?  Claudia Hopf is a tremendous artist and one of our members of the Third Friday ArtWalk Kennebunk.  She will have her private studio open for our ArtWalk nights where you can meet her and learn more about her beautiful designs.
